    Improving AI Responses with Feedback

    FOMOchat includes a built-in feedback system that lets you correct AI responses and improve future conversations. When a message doesn't match your expectations, you can quickly provide guidance that gets saved to your knowledge base.

    Where to Find the Feedback Button

    The thumbs-down feedback button appears in two places:

    1. Test Mode (Editor Preview)
    When you're building or editing your FOMOchat in the editor, hover over any actor message in the live preview. A thumbs-down icon appears to the left of the message. Click it to open the feedback dialog.

    2. Analytics Visitor Modal
    When reviewing past visitor conversations in Analytics, open any visitor's session detail. Hover over actor messages to reveal the same thumbs-down button.

    How the Feedback System Works

    1. Click the thumbs-down icon on any message you want to correct
    2. Describe what's wrong - Enter context about why the response was incorrect or what would be better
    3. Generate correction - FOMOchat AI creates a knowledge instruction based on your feedback
    4. Review and save - Edit the generated instruction if needed, then save it

    The correction is automatically added to your Domain Knowledge under a "Corrections / Guidance" section. Future AI-generated conversations and continuations will use this guidance.

    Example Use Cases

    • Incorrect pricing: An actor mentions the wrong price → Add a correction with correct pricing
    • Wrong feature claim: AI says you offer something you don't → Clarify what you actually offer
    • Tone mismatch: Response is too formal or casual → Guide the preferred communication style
    • Outdated info: AI references old promotions → Update with current offers

    Tips for Good Feedback

    • Be specific about what was wrong and what the correct answer should be
    • Include context about when the correction applies (e.g., "When discussing enterprise pricing...")
    • Review the generated instruction before saving to ensure it captures your intent

    This feedback loop continuously improves your FOMOchat's accuracy without needing to regenerate entire conversations.
