Understanding Your Analytics Dashboard

    Learn how to read and use your FOMOchat analytics to improve performance.

    Track how visitors interact with your FOMOchat widget.

    Accessing Analytics

    1. Go to your FOMOchat dashboard
    2. Click on a FOMOchat
    3. Select the Analytics tab

    Overview Metrics

    At the top, you'll see key numbers:

    Total Visitors

    Unique visitors who saw your widget. Counted when:

    • Widget loads on page
    • Visitor is on your external website (not the editor)

    Active Conversations

    Visitors who engaged with the chat:

    • Opened the widget
    • Sent a message
    • Interacted in some way

    Messages Sent

    Total messages from real visitors (not AI).

    Engagement Rate

    Percentage of visitors who engaged.

    💡 Key Insight: A healthy engagement rate is typically 5-15%. If yours is lower, try adjusting when the widget appears or updating your conversation content to be more compelling.

    Visitor Trends

    The chart shows visitors over time:

    • Daily view for recent activity
    • Weekly/monthly for trends
    • Hover for exact numbers

    Breakdown Charts

    By Browser

    See which browsers visitors use:

    • Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Other
    • Helps with testing priorities

    By Referrer

    Where visitors came from:

    • Direct traffic
    • Search engines
    • Social media
    • Specific campaigns

    By Page

    Which pages get the most engagement:

    • Identify high-performing pages
    • Optimize underperforming ones

    By Country

    Geographic distribution:

    • Where your audience is located
    • Timezone considerations

    💡 Pro Tip: Use the "By Page" breakdown to identify your highest-converting pages, then focus your widget visibility rules on those pages for maximum impact.

    Visitor List

    See individual visitors:

    • Name (if collected)
    • Email (if collected)
    • Country flag
    • First visit time
    • Message count

    Click any visitor to see their conversation.

    Exporting Data

    Click Export to download:

    • CSV format
    • All visitor data
    • Conversation transcripts

    Tips for Using Analytics

    1. Check regularly — Weekly at minimum
    2. Look for patterns — When do visitors engage most?
    3. Compare pages — What makes some perform better?
    4. Act on insights — Adjust widget settings based on data
    5. Set goals — Track improvement over time
